Who has already ordered from us knows that we always try to include a small snack for your four-legged friend in the package. Sometimes this means that we bake the hearty delicacies for you exclusively in our small kitchen. These are wheat-free treats that will not only taste good for your dog!

What you'll need:

  • 100g of oatmeal
  • 20g puffed amaranth
  • 150g low-fat curd or granular cream cheese
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon of milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or linseed oil

ingredients

Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius and mix all ingredients properly with the dough hook.

Now roll the dough on a board or between your hands into little finger-length snakes. You can cut the snakes into small pieces and roll them into small balls as needed. Just as you like.

Then simply place everything on a baking tray, with baking paper, and bake at 150 degrees for about 20-25 minutes until they turn golden yellow.

To spice up the delicacies a bit, you can also mix grated Gouda or Parmesan cheese into the dough. Then the small curd cheese rolls taste even tastier and are a welcome power snack for in-between meals, not only for our dogs.

Alternatively, you can also take only 150g oatmeal or, like me, replace 1/3 of it. Important here is not the weight but the volume to be replaced. If you do not have a scale at home, small coffee cups will help you out! 2 cups of oatmeal, 1 cup of quark, 1 cup of amaranth. Voilà!

The little snacks also make a great little boot and calendar pen for the (yes, it comes faster than you think) Advent season! As always I would be happy if you tag us in your posts or stories and take us along with you 🙂 Have fun baking, yours, M.
